Nurlan Zhakupov, CEO of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, met with Mark Coombs, CEO of Ashmore Group plc, to discuss a joint project to build a premium international clinic in Kazakhstan.

In April, the joint venture SK-AshmoreAHI Limited was established at the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC).

The project is valued at more than $150 million and will involve a world-class medical operator. The new medical center is expected to become a regional hub for high-quality healthcare services for both Kazakh citizens and international patients.

Plans to build the state-of-the-art medical center were first announced in November 2025 during the President of Kazakhstan’s visit to the United States.
