Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, met with Anas Sarwar, the UK Minister of State for Trade, ahead of the V meeting of the Kazakh-British Business Council.

The parties discussed prospects for expanding trade and investment cooperation, including attracting long-term capital, developing infrastructure, the energy sector, transport and logistics, advancing digitalisation, and applying modern financial and technological solutions.

Particular attention was paid to the work of the Kazakh-British Business Council, which has resumed its activities. Nurlan Zhakupov stressed the importance of turning the Council into a regular, action-oriented platform for advancing specific projects and fostering new partnerships between companies from the two countries.

The Kazakh-British Business Council is a platform for developing business and investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom. Established in 2015, the Council is co-chaired on the Kazakh side by Samruk-Kazyna.
