The international exhibition project was supported by Samruk-Kazyna and the Rosatom State Corporation.

“It is important for us to participate in projects of this scale, which introduce audiences in Kazakhstan to works by outstanding artists and contribute to the development of the country’s cultural environment,” said Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC.

The exhibition features 30 works of 20th-century Russian art. The collection includes works by renowned artists such as Boris Kustodiev, Aleksandr Deineka, Pyotr Konchalovsky, Ilya Mashkov and others. The Tretyakov Gallery’s works were last exhibited at the A. Kasteyev Museum in 1993.

As part of Samruk-Kazyna Trust projects, the museum previously underwent extensive renovations, a modern art laboratory was opened, and an updated website featuring a 3D tour was launched.

The exhibition was also organized with the participation of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The exhibition will run until 17 January 2027.
