Portfolio companies of «Samruk-Kazyna» JSC initiate the implementation of reference models standards developed by the Fund. They are based on international best practices and cover such functions as Accounting and Tax Accounting, Treasury, Human Resources Management, IT Management, Operational Planning, Risk Management etc. The introduction of standards will significantly improve operational performance and focus on the implementation of the strategic objectives.

«First, we have designed the new operational models and simplified organizational structure of the national companies, then streamlined business processes, and brought them into line with the standards. During the past period, we have reviewed about 30 thousand processes, the number of management levels reduced to 4-5 compared to 9 levels. This allowed us to get rid of unnecessary ballast in the form of duplication, unnecessary reporting and outdated regulations. The next important step in our work is automation. From the sound implementation of this process depends success of our commercial initiatives,» Managing Director for Transformation and Special Projects of «Samruk-Kazyna» JSC Adamas Ilkevicius told.

Kazpost is one of the first companies to begin implementation of standardized processes. The company has a wide branch network across the country (more than 3 thousand units) and works directly with the public. Automation of the company started with HR-processes, as more than 60% of the costs associated with the staff. Thus, the effective management of human resources is one of the key components of Kazpost business.

The company unified position registry by reducing the overall list of the names from 178 to 42. The data on 23 thousand employees was transferred to the new automated system. Further HR-modules such as payroll processing, search, selection, training and evaluation of personnel will be introduced before the end of the year.

«Automation of Kazpost HR-function allows to keep central record of staff and provide prompt high-quality data for management decisions regarding staffing schedule and the correct work load distribution for each employee of the company,» Baurzhan Kairbekov, Head of Business Integration Solutions of «Kazpost» JSC, noted. The company will send manpower, released as a result of the automation of HR-function, to a priority, from a commercial point of view, activities, such as marketing and sales.

“In the future, we will unify all corporate functions of Kazpost regardless of the location of the employee in Astana, or let’s say in Abay village of South Kazakhstan region. Everyone will work on the same processes and regulations,» Mr Kairbekov added.

Notes: since November last year, six portfolio companies of «Samruk-Kazyna» have started to implement transformation projects.
