The leader of the country is currently in France on a business trip 
President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has offered to large businessmen of France to participate in the large-scale privatization of state companies, according to LS with reference to Akorda.

During the meeting with heads of the leading companies in France, Nazarbayev invited them to participate actively in the industrialization of Kazakhstan, in planned privatization of large enterprises, as well as in the creation of international financial center "Astana".

"There are about 130 French companies working in the Kazakhstan market in various industries. For example, 24 companies from France have already implemented projects in Kazakhstan for more than $ 2 billion, 14 projects are at the implementation stage, 10 - in the future. Only within the framework of my visit, contracts with worth of $ 5 billion will be signed", - President gave an example of beneficial cooperation.

According to President, trade turnover between two countries remained at $ 6 billion. Over the last 10 years the amount of French investments in Kazakhstan reached $ 12 billion. Nazarbayev also named the most successful joint projects: the production of electric locomotives "Alstom", helicopter "Eurocopter", cars "Peugeot" and "Citroen", solar panels, cement, new types of dairy products "Danone". Nursultan Nazarbayev said that together with the company "Airbus Defence and Space" Kazakhstan has launched two satellites for Earth remote sensing and now planned to complete construction of the building assembly and test complex spacecraft.

Cooperation with Airbus company is pointed by President as one of the ongoing joint investment projects.

"Kazakhstan has opened a factory for the creation of high-tech products from our Titanium, which is subsequently used in the assembly of Airbus aircraft. Kazakh company "Air Astana” closes the loop by using the aircraft made by French aviation industry ", - he stressed.

Nazarbayev noted that between business circles of two countries, contracts related to such important areas as the supply of uranium to France, automotive industry, water supply, waste disposal and others will be signed.  

The meeting was attended by heads of companies such as Airbus, Alstom Transport, Vicat, Soufflet, Rothschild Group, Veolia Asia, Areva and other.
