KTZ has off-loaded already 14 facilities within the privatization program

The biggest subsidiary of the Fund “NC “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” JSC in total will tender 35 facilities reports BNews.kz.
The press service of "Samruk-Kazyna Contract" LLP informed, that since beginning of asset sales in 2014, the national carrier has signed sale and purchase contracts on 14 subsidiary and affiliated organizations in the amount of more than 23 billion 265 million KZT, the estimated value of these facilities was slightly more than 18 billion 144 million KZT.
"Contract for the sale of 100% of shares of "Center of transport service" JSC was signed on April 1.” This center provides a wide range of services, including: providing access roads for the passage of rolling stock, shunting operations, loading and unloading; spotting/picking to the front railroad engine loading-unloading, rolling-on/out with specialized equipment; providing specialized tools for mechanical means of loading/unloading, providing specialized warehouses, car scales services" informs the press-service.
The prerequisites to sign the contracts were: maintaining activity profile and keeping number of employees throughout the year, as well as conclusion of a collective agreement with KTZ employees. These measures are aimed at ensuring the social protection of CTS workers.
"Three bids were submitted to participate in the tender, finally CTS has been sold at the price of 1 billion 785.9 million KZT, with a starting value of 1 billion 86 million KZT” explained press-service.
