The SK Volunteer League together with pupils of the Zamandas family yard clubs collected garbage near lake Taldykol and the Zhagalau district in Nur-Sultan. In total, the activists cleared 1 km of garbage from the territory and collected 1 ton of garbage.

As part of the eco-quest, the League's activists also held a master class for parents and children on waste sorting. At the end of the event, students of the Zamandas clubs were presented with gifts.

"Our task is to draw the attention of children and their parents to environmental problems, show the need for careful attitude to nature, teach them to properly sort garbage for further processing and show an example of teamwork," project Manager of the center for social interaction and communications Abdieva Azhar said.

Note that eco-quest is an annual event. In 2019, 18 tons of garbage were collected as part of the quest.

"For us, this was the first joint offline event after the quarantine was relaxed. Many children and parents have not seen each other since the summer and it was touching to see how the children were able to see their teachers for the first time live, who were engaged with them online. I would like to note the good organization and logistics, and the final presentation of gifts was a pleasant surprise for children. Fitness bracelets will remain with them as assistants in maintaining a healthy lifestyle," said Ksenia Radionova, Deputy Director Of the Zamandas 21 public Fund.

The SK Volunteer League unites all concerned employees of the Samruk-Kazyna group of companies and citizens of the country. Any citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan can become a volunteer by submitting an application on the website http://volunteer.sknews.kz/.

Volunteering in the Fund group is carried out in four main areas: Qamqor involves caring for everyone who needs help, Umit – public volunteering, Asylmura – assistance in preserving the history of Kazakhstan, Taza Kazakhstan – contribution to nature conservation.
