League of volunteers SK Volunteer delivered grocery baskets to lonely pensioners, elderly people with special needs, veterans of the home front and WWII. In total, the activists handed humanitarian aid to 50 elderly people.

Let us recall that in May and July of this year, volunteers helped over 600 veterans of the Great Patriotic War and home front workers from 35 cities of Kazakhstan within the framework of the Zhenis project. In total, by the end of the year, it is planned to provide social assistance to more than 1,500 elderly people throughout the country.

“It is not gifts and things that matter to grandparents, but attention and care. Thanks to such actions, volunteers communicate with older people, adopting their experience. Such communication inspires both young and adult people alike”,- Abdieyeva Azhar, a project manager of the Center for Social Interaction and Communication.

Let us remind you that the SK Volunteer League of Volunteers unites all caring employees of the Samruk-Kazyna’s group of companies and citizens of the country. Any citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan can become a volunteer by submitting an application on the website http://volunteer.sknews.kz/.

Volunteering in the fund's group is carried out in four main areas: Qamqor assumes care for everyone who needs help, Umit - public volunteering, Asylmura - assistance in preserving the history of Kazakhstan, Taza Kazakhstan - contribution to nature conservation.
