Transport and Logistics Projects of Samruk-Kazyna in Almaty Region

The Head of Government Askar Mamin has visited transport and logistics infrastructure and reviewed the status of SEZ Korghos Eastern Gates.

PM was informed about opportunities of dry ports KTZE Khorgos Gateway that provides cargo handling, storage and transshipment. The total transshipment of containers showed an increase, of 25% in under six months in 2021 of the 2020 figure. Port capacity is 540k TEU containers in a year, total project value is KZT 36,38 billion.  
The Prime Minister was reported on operating results of KIF Warehouses in the development E-commerce. 
Preparation for the bonded warehouses opening at the site of SEZ Korghos Eastern Gates were finished. Pilot mail transit of 400 kg was carried through international exchange of mail SEZ Korghos Eastern Gates in August. 
Вue to the starting of project, international mail for European Union, Central Asia and EEU will be expire in transit message. This will shorten the air delivery time up to 2-3 days and by road up to 7-12 days.

Askar Mamin was also informed about progress of rail infrastructure projects in Almaty region. The Government had formulated a plan of action aimed at exporting issues of essential supplies from PRC to Kazakhstan, under which Samruk-Kazyna would provide support for development and growth of Kazakhstan’s transit-transport potential.
