Representatives of the Presidential Youth Personnel Reserve received 3 out of 4 new appointments in the management of Samruk-Kazyna JSC: the candidacies of four managing directors were approved. The new team has set a number of ambitious tasks to be completed in the shortest possible time. 

Yernar Zhanadil has been appointed to the position of the Managing Director for Development and Privatization of Samruk-Kazyna JSC. First of all, Yernar Beisenuly will be responsible for the privatization program of the companies owned by Samruk-Kazyna JSC: JSC NC KazMunayGas and Air Astana JSC. In the near future, it is planned to bring these assets to the IPO, which the entire population of Kazakhstan will have access to. In addition, Yernar Zhanadil is tasked with continuing to attract foreign investment to the country. 

To date, Yernar Beisenuly has held the position of the Managing Director for Investment, Privatization and IntYernational Cooperation in the Fund. Earlier in 2018, Yernar Beisenuly took an active part in the successful withdrawal of JSC NAC Kazatomprom for IPO and then for SPO. During 2021, he also ensured the effective exit of the Fund Group companies from a number of non-core assets. Prior to joining Samruk-Kazyna JSC, Yernar Zhanadil worked at Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP. He holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance (University of Manchester, UK). Yernat Berdigulov has been appointed as the Managing Director for Strategy and Asset Management at Samruk-Kazyna JSC. The main tasks assigned to Yernat Kudaibergenovich are the development and implementation of a long–term Fund development strategy, effective asset management and timely implementation of priority infrastructure projects. Ensuring sustainable development, the introduction of ESG principles and advanced corporate governance approaches in the activities of portfolio companies will increase investment attractiveness and ensure the growth of long-term value. 

Previously, Yernat Kudaibergenovich held the position of the Co-Managing Director for Strategy, Sustainable Development and Digital Transformation at the Fund. Yernat Berdigulov has more than ten years of experience, including in the international consulting company. He has a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA, University of Warwick, UK), a bachelor’s degree in the Bolashak program (University of Toronto, Canada). Member of the Presidential Youth Personnel Reserve. 

Gibrat Auganov has been appointed as the Managing Director for Public Relations and Change Management at Samruk-Kazyna JSC. Gibrat Kairatovich is responsible for three departments: Department of Social and Labor Relations and HR, Change Management Department and Public Relations Department.  

In accordance with the tasks set, it is necessary to introduce a new transparent HR policy, increase the level of inclusiveness and openness. In addition, as part of digitalization, it will be necessary to restructure production and management processes based on IT technologies and big data analysis. Also, as part of the reset of the Fund’s relations with the public, to ensure transparency and informing the professional media community about the company’s activities. 

These and a number of other changes are designed to ensure the openness and transparency of the company’s activities for society, to remove the human factor as much as possible, especially in corruption-dangerous sectors. 

Earlier Gibrat Kairatovich held the position of the Director of the HR Department of Samruk-Kazyna JSC. Gibrat Auganov has many years of experience in the field of social and labor relations acquired at the production enterprises of the oil and gas sector - KazMunayGas Exploration Production JSC, KazMunayGas NC, KazGerMunai Joint Venture, Embamunaygas, Karazhanbasmunai, etc. Member of the Presidential Youth Personnel Reserve. 

Nikolai Kazutin has been appointed to the position of the Managing Director for Legal Support, Counselling and Risks of Samruk-Kazyna JSC.  In addition to current legal issues, Nikolai Yuryevich will be responsible for changing the existing corporate procurement documents in order to ensure transparency in the procurement process of the Fund to support domestic producers and SMEs, as well as for legal support of the reforms carried out in the Fund as a whole and effective protection of the Fund’s interests in international arbitration.  

Nikolai Yurievich has many years of experience in legal, consulting and financial structures, such as Amanat Insurance Industrial Group, PricewaterhouseCoopers Tax & Advisory, Asia Waters Company, East Kazakhstan Regional Energy Company, etc.  

The directors of two departments have also been appointed. Sabit Rakhmetov, who previously held the position of the Head of the Project Structuring Sector of the Investment Department of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, was appointed to the position of the Director of the Investment Department of Samruk-Kazyna KZ. He has experience working in financial structures. 

Damir Yegizbayev has been appointed as the Director of the Public Relations Department. Earlier, Damir Nurlybekovich held the position of the Press Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as Director of Communications of Kazakhstan PPP Center JSC of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan. As a journalist, he worked for the Khabar Agency, the Qazaqstan TRC, the Almaty TV channel and other media.
