On September 20, the representatives of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, JSC NC KazMunayGas, Kazpost JSC met with residents and guests of Zhambyl region in the framework of the campaign of informational and explanatory meetings from 19 to 23 September.

Representatives of Kazakhstan broker-dealer organizations and stock exchanges AIX and KASE also took part in the meetings. The experts introduced to the participants of the meetings the progress of the Samruk-Kazyna privatization program and the IPO of portfolio companies, including key information about the first IPO candidate - the company JSC NC KazMunayGas, and also answered the questions of citizens.

 

As Dauren Akshalov, the Head of the Compliance Service of Samruk-Kazyna JSC noted, the Fund is fully committed to the idea of the Head of State on the denationalization of the economy. Therefore, as part of the implementation of the Privatization Plan, it is aimed at informing the citizens of Kazakhstan on a large scale about the possibilities of participating in the IPO of the Fund's portfolio companies.

 

“Informing the population is an important and very responsible task, now fraudulent groups are showing great activity, the purpose of which is to profit and deceive our citizens.  We must reach the maximum number of Kazakhstanis, tell them about truly legitimate tools and mechanisms for participation in the IPO program. In 14 days, our information group will hold presentations and explanatory meetings with residents of more than 15 cities and settlements, as well as with labor collectives of production enterprises of the Central and East Kazakhstan regions”, - Dauren Akshalov shared.

The speaker added about the possibilities of IPO by saying that “first of all, the sale of shares of the Fund’s companies will be carried out among individuals and literally every citizen of Kazakhstan will have the opportunity to buy shares of KMG and become a co-owner of the largest oil and gas company in Kazakhstan”. The participants of the meeting learned about IPO mechanisms as an alternative source of income.

Recall that informational and explanatory meetings with the population, company employees and employees of production facilities were held in more than 60 cities across the country from September 16 to 30, 2022.
