The Kazakhstan Global Investment Forum was held on the site of the London Stock Exchange. The event was dedicated to the topic “New Economic Diplomacy and Investing Ways in Kazakhstan”. The Forum was once again organized by the London Stock Exchange, the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the UK and the Samruk-Kazyna Fund.

Almassadam Satkaliyev, the CEO of the Fund, made a welcoming speech, noting that “the Forum is of particular importance in light of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and the UK based on strong ties of friendship and common values”, and also highlighted the need to find new solutions to global problems.

Speaking about global security and the importance of multilateral coordination, Almassadam Satkaliyev pointed out the investment attractiveness and unique geographical location of Kazakhstan, located in the heart of Eurasia and providing access to neighboring markets with more than 500 million consumers.

The CEO of Samruk-Kazyna invited foreign investors to implement joint projects in traditional and new business areas.

Informing about the progress of the privatization program, it was said about the recent announcement of opening the order book and the key conditions for the purchase of shares under the People’s IPO of KazMunayGas (with the priority of satisfying applications of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan) at the price of KZT8,406  (equivalent to USD18.5), which was agreed by the State Commission and the Board of Directors of the Fund.

The Forum gathered together representatives of the British business, financial organizations and international investors.
