In 2023, projects jointly undertaken by the National Commission and Samruk – Kazyna extend coverage to over 90 thousand people of Kazakhstan

A gathering took place in Astana where Aida Balayeva, the Chairman of the National Commission for Women and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, met with participants from Samruk-Kazyna JSC’s “Gender Equality” program.
In 2023, the commission successfully implemented three joint charitable projects with Samruk-Kazyna JSC, as part of the extensive social initiative “Medical Train Salamatty Kazakhstan”, the train traveled through 121 remote stations across 17 regions.
The project reaches a total of over 90,000 villagers, with professional mediators and lawyers aiding over 9,000 citizens. Among them, 5,720 are women, more than 600 were directed to regional centers for women’s entrepreneurship, 98 secured employments, 388 started receiving child support, and 60 received support in document preparation for launching small businesses.
With the support of the National Commission, a special project “Gender Equality” was implemented, aimed at increasing the share of women in the management bodies of the Samruk-Kazyna JSC group of companies.
Currently, the share of women on the Boards of Directors and Supervisory Boards in the Fund’s group of companies is 13%, and in executive bodies is 17%.
Following the “Gender Equality” program, several Foundation employees joined the National Commission, and 15 women leaders were appointed as independent experts and speakers in regional divisions. The program resulted in a pool comprising 68 women leaders.
