The parties discussed the current status of the strategic polyethylene production project.

The Polyethylene Project aims to create a modern gas chemical complex for the production of polyethylene for both domestic and export markets. It is one of the Fund’s flagship initiatives and holds strategic importance for the national economy. Commissioning of the complex is scheduled for the end of 2028.

The facility will produce more than 20 of the most in-demand polyethylene grades, including high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), with around 40% of output expected to be premium-grade products. Production volumes are projected to reach approximately 1% of global output, and in terms of scale and technological sophistication, the plant is expected to become one of the largest in the world.
