Samruk-Kazyna JSC and Mongolia’s state-owned holding company Erdenes Mongol have signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The document was signed in the presence of the Presidents of Kazakhstan and Mongolia by Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, and Davaadalai Batsuuri, Chief Executive Officer of Erdenes Mongol LLC.

The parties will develop cooperation in the following key strategic areas:

• Enhancing corporate governance and improving operational efficiency. In particular, Samruk-Kazyna will share its expertise and best practices in corporate governance, providing comprehensive support to Erdenes Mongol;
• Joint research and exploration of critical minerals;
• Cooperation in geological exploration and uranium mining in Mongolia.

Erdenes Mongol LLC is Mongolia’s largest state-owned holding company, managing the country’s strategic mineral deposits. It brings together dozens of subsidiaries and plays a key role in shaping export revenues and economic policy in the commodity sector.
