Samruk-Kazyna and Erdenes Mongol Discuss Potential Partnership

Nurlan Zhakupov, CEO of Samruk-Kazyna, met with Davaadalai Batsuri, Chairman of the Board of Mongolia’s state-owned holding company Erdenes Mongol.
The parties discussed cooperation in strengthening corporate governance and improving operational efficiency. Samruk-Kazyna expressed its readiness to share its expertise and best practices in corporate governance with Erdenes Mongol.
The sides also explored potential collaboration in geological exploration and uranium mining in Mongolia, as well as opportunities for joint research and exploration of critical minerals.
Erdenes Mongol LLC is Mongolia’s state-owned mining holding company and the country’s largest state-owned enterprise managing strategically important mineral deposits. It brings together dozens of subsidiaries and plays a key role in generating export revenues and shaping economic policy in the resource sector.
A day earlier, in the presence of the Presidents of Kazakhstan and Mongolia, Samruk-Kazyna and Erdenes Mongol signed a memorandum of understanding.
