A delegation of participants from Tsinghua University’s Executive MBA Program—one of the world’s leading universities—visited Samruk-Kazyna. The delegation included executives and senior managers from some of the largest companies in China and Southeast Asia, representing the financial technology, digital services, industrial, investment, and energy sectors. Among them were representatives of Tencent Holdings, WeBank, Affirma Capital, Lexin Group, Weihua Group, New Horizon Capital, QF Pay, Fujian Yanan Power Group, and other leading companies.

The visit to Kazakhstan took place as part of the Executive MBA Program’s international study module, during which participants visit leading companies to explore best business practices and investment opportunities in different countries.

Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC Samruk-Kazyna, introduced the delegation to the Fund’s operations and those of its portfolio companies, while also presenting Kazakhstan’s investment opportunities.

The Head of the Fund noted that Samruk-Kazyna manages USD 88 billion in assets. Today, the Fund is implementing large-scale projects across the oil and gas, energy, transport and logistics, and telecommunications sectors, while also actively advancing digital transformation. Currently, 62 artificial intelligence projects are being implemented across the Group in key areas of its operations.

Its Executive MBA Program brings together senior executives, entrepreneurs, and top managers from international companies. One of the program’s key components is its international study visits, during which participants gain first-hand insights into leading organizations and explore promising opportunities for business development and investment.

The inclusion of Samruk-Kazyna in the itinerary of this international study visit reflects the international business community’s strong interest in the Fund, its portfolio companies, and Kazakhstan’s investment potential.
