The parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in renewable energy, the implementation of joint investment projects, and further strengthening their partnership in the green energy sector. Samruk-Kazyna and SANY have successfully launched a manufacturing facility in the Zhambyl Region to localise the production of wind power components, with an annual production capacity of 2 GW. The facility is one of the largest industrial renewable energy projects in Kazakhstan.

A key outcome of the meeting was the signing of a Shareholders’ Agreement between Samruk-Energy JSC and SANY Renewable Energy for the construction of a 1 GW wind farm in the Zhetysu Region.

The project will mark an important step in advancing renewable energy in Kazakhstan, attracting advanced technologies, and supporting the country’s decarbonisation goals.
