A Kazakh delegation met in Baku with Rashad Nabiyev, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Digital Development and Transport.

The Kazakh delegation included Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC; Nurlan Sauranbayev, Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan; and Yelzhas Otynshiyev, Chairman of the Management Board of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of strategic partnership in transport and logistics, as well as ways to further strengthen cooperation within the framework of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR).

The parties highlighted the growing role of the TITR in ensuring sustainable freight transportation between Asia and Europe.

They also discussed the current dynamics of cargo transportation between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, as well as measures to strengthen transport cooperation, improve transport efficiency, and further enhance the transit potential of the two countries.
