At a Government meeting, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek highlighted cooperation with Samruk-Kazyna as an example of effective collaboration between universities and employers.

Every year, around 10,000 students undergo dual training and industrial internships at the Fund’s portfolio companies. In the first half of 2026, more than 4,300 students participated in these programmes.

Dual training is offered in high-demand fields, including mining, energy, IT, electrical engineering, railway transport, telecommunications, digital technologies, and resource extraction and processing.

Another key area is industrial internships for university faculty. During the 2025–2026 academic year, representatives from more than 100 universities completed internships. In the new academic year, around 100 faculty members are expected to undertake internships at the Fund’s portfolio companies.

Another area is the development of AI competencies. Starting in September 2026, around 100 employees of the Fund’s group of companies are expected to receive training at the AI-Enabled University — the Kazakh Research University of Artificial Intelligence.
