Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, as part of his working visit to the East Kazakhstan Region visited the Mother and Child Care Center, a modern medical facility providing specialized care to women and children in the region.

During the visit, Nurlan Zhakupov presented the medical center with a certificate for the delivery of state-of-the-art medical equipment – the Remebot RM-200 robotic neurosurgical system with integrated navigation and artificial intelligence. The project is valued at KZT 433.5 million.

The equipment is being acquired for the center for the first time and is designed to perform high-precision stereotactic neurosurgical procedures. The system enables physicians to plan surgeries, navigate during procedures, and determine the access trajectory with a high degree of accuracy.

At the same time, the robot does not replace the surgeon but serves as a technological tool that enhances the precision and safety of surgical procedures. The system has a technical capacity of 500–750 procedures per year. At the initial stage, around 200 procedures are planned annually, with the number expected to increase to 450 procedures as the system reaches full capacity.

“Samruk-Kazyna views corporate social responsibility as a long-term investment in people’s quality of life. Since 2023, the Fund has implemented more than 100 socially significant projects worth over KZT 880 billion. A significant part of this work focuses on healthcare: hospitals and medical centers are being built across the regions, while modern medical equipment is being procured. Another key area is the development of pediatric rehabilitation: 55 rehabilitation centers have already been opened across the country, providing assistance to more than 21,000 children. Today’s project in the East Kazakhstan Region is another example of how the Fund’s support can make high-tech medical care more accessible directly in the region,” Nurlan Zhakupov said.
