The project is being implemented as part of the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Masdar. The investment is estimated at $1.4 billion, with the facility scheduled to be commissioned in 2029.

The project includes the construction of a 1,000 MW wind power plant and a 300 MW energy storage system with a capacity of 600 MWh. The storage system will help smooth fluctuations in power generation and enhance the stability of the energy system.

The capsule-laying ceremony and the official launch of work at the project site took place on June 29 in the Zhambyl Region.
