Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, met with Joo Woo-Jeong, President and CEO of Hyundai Engineering.

The parties discussed cooperation and the status of projects in the oil and gas and petrochemical sectors.

Particular attention was paid to the construction of a gas processing plant at the Karachaganak field with an annual capacity of 5 billion cubic metres of gas. The project is being implemented by QazaqGaz, with Hyundai Engineering serving as the EPC contractor.

Nurlan Zhakupov emphasised the importance of the project for the development of Kazakhstan’s gas industry and the strengthening of the country’s energy security.
