Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna, visited KazMunayGas JSC, where he reviewed digital solutions and artificial intelligence projects being implemented by the company.

KazMunayGas presented solutions that enable more accurate and timely decision-making at various stages of the production cycle.

Among them is the ABAI information system, which integrates tools for production modelling, drilling, well workovers, and infrastructure monitoring.

The KMG.AIAN AI platform analyses data on production, reserves, supplies, and petroleum product sales, helping forecast potential fuel shortages or surpluses.

Another solution is KMG GeoAI, an AI assistant for geologists that works with the company’s 7 TB corporate repository of geological and geophysical data, comprising more than 2 million documents. The system enables specialists to find and analyse the information they need more quickly, while the final decision remains with the expert.

“It is important that artificial intelligence technologies do not remain standalone digital solutions, but become tools for improving production efficiency. Practical impact and scalability are key criteria for the implementation of such technologies,” said Nurlan Zhakupov.
