Almassadam Satkaliyev, the CEO of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, has met with Mr. Nikolai Podguzov, the CEO of the Eurasian Development Bank, in St. Petersburg. 

Almassadam Satkaliyev noted that the Fund highly appreciates the established long-term cooperation with the EDB. Previously, the bank has already financed a number of major projects of the Fund's portfolio companies, such as the reconstruction of a Sulfuric Acid Plant in Stepnogorsk, gasification of the Aktobe region, construction of the Sary-Arka main gas pipeline, and construction of wind farms in Yereimentau.

Now, negotiations on three priority projects are underway, among them “Reconstruction and Expansion of the Astrakhan-Mangyshlak Main Water Pipeline” (1st stage), construction of a desalination plant in Kenderli and modernization of the Almaty CHP-3. 

“We see a huge potential for the development of cooperation in all the areas noted today. And we are confident that the implementation of major regional projects will have a significant impact on sustainable development,” Almassadam Satkaliyev stressed after the meeting.
