The Samruk-Kazyna Fund has presented a list of 16 new priority investment projects in Kazakhstan. This was stated today by Almassadam Satkaliyev, the CEO of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, at the press briefing at the Central Communications Service (CCS) under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The new list of 16 projects includes petrochemical projects, modernization of the National Electric Grid, construction of a basic power source, projects for the development of renewable energy sources, construction of a 5G Internet network, construction of new railway tracks, etc.

The projects are aimed at improving the quality of life of the population of Kazakhstan. In addition to the direct effect in the form of job creation, the projects have indirect long–term effects - the total result of improving working conditions and environmental situation, increasing living standards, developing social infrastructure, stimulating business development.

The Fund announced the first package of 13 priority projects in the spring of 2022. It includes such initiatives as the gasification of the Almaty thermal power plant, water supply of Western Kazakhstan, construction of new gas pipelines and railways.
